Is It Really Too Late? Mid-Month, Mid-Year Review

Hey there Reader,

It’s hard to believe we’re already in mid-July.
Weren’t we just welcoming 2025?

Many of us start the year with hope. Maybe not certainty, but at least a sense of possibility—that this year could be different, better, more aligned. But six months in, things can feel… heavy. Maybe life didn’t go the way you planned. Maybe it feels like too much has happened—or not enough has changed.

So let me ask you honestly:
Is it really too late to begin again?

Where You Might Be Now

Maybe you’re navigating a career change, retirement, or loss.
Maybe your relationships are shifting.
Maybe you’ve quietly set down your dreams because life has felt too overwhelming.

Maybe—like me—you intended for this to be a purposeful, peaceful summer.
But instead, you’re juggling travel, family, work, logistics, and trying to squeeze in joy wherever it fits. The calendar is full, the to-do list is long, and there’s that creeping feeling that summer is slipping away.

Even when life is good, it can still feel like too much.
It’s the challenge of this season: we want to rest and move forward, savor and accomplish, connect and reflect. We want it all.

Why Midpoints Matter

Midpoints are magic.
They’re not the start (where pressure looms large) or the end (where it’s too late).
They’re the middle—where clarity and change are still possible. If you believe it.

You’re not behind. You’re not stuck. You’re simply standing at a choice point.

What do you want to be able to say about this year when it’s over?
What small step can you take today to inch closer to that vision?

Even if it’s been messy, disappointing, or wildly off-course—there is still time to shift. To recommit. To try again. And to do so with less judgement.

What Real Change Takes

Change isn’t magic. It doesn’t fall into our laps.
It requires a decision—and often, a level of honesty we’d rather avoid.

We have to look at what’s not working. We have to ask ourselves hard questions:

  • What am I still holding on to that’s keeping me stuck?
  • Where am I saying yes when I need to say no?
  • What have I given up on—not because it wasn’t possible, but because I was afraid?

We all carry stories:
That we’re too late.
That we’re too tired.
That other people have it easier, better, more figured out.

But you are not other people.
And the truth is, many of them are struggling silently too—just like you.

The inner voice that tells you “it’s not possible” or “you’re too far gone” isn’t the voice of truth. It’s the voice of fear. It’s the voice of old patterns that no longer serve the version of you that’s trying to emerge.

What I'm Practicing Right Now

I’m heading out on another trip soon, and honestly—I’m feeling that push-pull myself. I want to enjoy the season, but the stress of preparation, deadlines, and logistics is real. And in moments like these, I know I have to strip it down to the essentials.

  • Make a list.
  • Choose what matters.
  • Let the rest go.

It sounds simple, but it’s a discipline.
And it’s a gift to yourself. A gift I am still working on! Remember practice over perfection.

If you’re craving more peace and less chaos, start being more ruthless about what you allow in. If you want to feel better—mentally, physically, emotionally—become fiercely protective of your time and your energy.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about alignment.

3 Questions for Mid-July:

  1. What do I want to be able to say about this year by December?
  2. What is one thing I need to stop doing to feel more in control?
  3. What support or structure could help me stay accountable to what I want most?

Don't just read these. Answer them and then decide what small step you can take in the direction of what you are seeking.
